What are Funding Types?

There are three funding types in hexbox.

  1. All or Nothing Funding

  2. Limitless Funding

  3. Flexible Funding

We suggest you to find your own choice in terms of funding type. Here are common application areas;

Funding Type

Constrains

All or Nothing

High-risk projects, trust-building

Product launches, large-scale software

Must meet 100% funding to proceed.

Limitless Funding

Continuous growth, no cap

Open-source, blockchain DAOs, influencers

No specific funding goal required.

Flexible Funding

Scalable, partial funding projects

MVPs, pilots, creative works in stages

May proceed even without full funding.

Funding Types are working based on only two KPI's; Deadline and Funding Amount.

Funding Models and Actions Explained

1. All or Nothing Funding

  • This funding model requires the project to meet 100% of its funding goal before the deadline. If the goal is not met, the funds are returned to the investors.

  • How All or Nothing Method works?

    • If 100% funded before the deadline: The funds are transferred to the project's business wallet.

    • If not 100% funded by the deadline: All money is returned to the investors.

    • If neither condition is met (waiting for the deadline): No action is taken until the deadline passes.

2. Limitless Funding

  • There is no funding cap or deadline for this model. Projects can raise money continuously until the project is deactivated when is also the time when funds are transferred to business.

  • How Limitless funding works?

    • Whenever funds are contributed: They are immediately transferred to the project's business escrow wallet.

    • Funds are transferred to business wallet when campaign page is deactivated.

3. Flexible Funding

  • Projects can receive funds even if they don’t meet their funding goal by the deadline. Contributions can be used whether the target is achieved or not.

  • How flexible funding works?

    • If 100% funded before the deadline: Funds are transferred to the project's business wallet.

    • If less than 100% funded and the deadline hasn’t passed: No action is taken unless overvaluation is triggered (additional rules or thresholds may apply).

    • If less than 100% funded but the deadline is reached: Funds are transferred to the project's business wallet.

    • If no funding and no deadline met: The system waits until the deadline is reached to determine the next step.
